Plenty Of Options For Turner

After making an early commitment to Arizona State, and then reconsidering his decision, Josiah Turner is hearing from numerous high major schools...

Josiah Turner, 6-2 JR PG Sacramento (Calif.) High, is one of the top point guards in the class of 2011. A true point, Turner is an excellent passer with very good vision. He has good size for the position and adequate quickness. He's not a great shooter, but his shot is good enough at this time and there is nothing wrong with his stroke.

I spoke with Turner recently and he gave me a list of schools that have been expressing interest in him.

"Kansas, UCLA, Oregon, Cal, USC, Arizona, Florida International, Florida, UConn, Wake Forest and SMU are the main ones," said Turner.

I asked Turner if he has a leader.

"No leader, I'm wide open," said Turner.

Turner said Kansas, Oregon, USC, Florida International and SMU have offered scholarships.

I asked Turner what the main factors will be in his decision.

"Probably how they play and how the coaches are," said Turner.

Turner has been to Kansas, UCLA, Florida International and Cal on unofficial visits.

"I might go to the Cal/Kansas game coming up," said Turner.

Turner said he doesn't think he'll make a decision any time soon.

"I don't think I'll commit anywhere soon, but if I feel good about a school I guess I could decide," said Turner.
