2012 Introduction: Grant Jerrett

The 2012 West Coast class is loaded with talented prospects and Grant Jerrett is one of the better players in the class...

Grant Jerrett, 6-7 SO PF/C La Verne (Calif.) La Verne Lutheran, is one of the elite post prospects in the class of 2012. A mobile big man with surprising quickness for his size, Jerrett has above average skills and a very good feel for the game. With continued development, he figures to be recruited by the top programs across the country.

I spoke with Jerrett recently and asked him about the schools that have been in touch with him so far.

"UNLV, Washington, USC, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon State," said Jerrett.

I asked Jerrett if any schools stand out for him at the moment.

"Probably UNLV, Washington, USC and Arizona," said Jerrett.

Jerrett said he has been to UNLV for a camp, but has yet to take any other unofficial visits.

When questioned about the factors that might influence his decision, Jerrett replied, "The education is big. Location is also kind of key. I don't want to go to far from home."

Jerrett said he doesn't really have a time frame in mind yet for making his decision.

"I don't really know, but probably not until after the end of my junior year," said Jerrett.

Jerrett said he has a 3.5 GPA.
