Howard Commits To ACC Squad

Pe'Shon Howard made his decision on Saturday. The talented wing out of Oak Hill is headed to the ACC Conference.

Recently Pe'Shon Howard began gaining more and more information on Gary Williams' program at Maryland. After doing his homework, Howard opted to join the program.

"I just felt that it was a good fit," he told Scout.com. "I talked to a lot of people and I thought it was a good place for me with Greivis [Vasquez] leaving and I think I can I get a lot of playing time."

Howard, a standout at Mouth of Wilson(Va.) Oak Hill, also considered Virginia, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Northwestern and South Florida. The Terrapins stepped up their efforts with the 6-foot-2 guard recently, but he's known their staff for years.

"They decided that they wanted me," Howard said. "They are going to try and get another big. They they thought I was going sign early when I didn't they got back on me.

"I've known coach Dreisell since 8th grade," he added. "Coach Rob [Ehsan] and Keith Booth they've talked to me a lot and I like coach Williams. I've known him for about year."

Howard is Maryland's fourth verbal commitment. He joins Ashton Pankey, Mychal Parker and Terrell Stoglin to make up their 2010 recruiting class.
