Yeguette's Rep As Rebounder Yields Offers

If you're a fan of hard work and intense rebounding, senior Will Yeguette just might be your guy.

If there's ever been an undersized guy worthy of an extra look, we give you Will Yeguette. The 6-foot-7 power forward out of Melbourne (Fla.) Florida Air Academy, pulled down 50 rebounds in a three camp games last October.

College programs are always grinding, in search of that blue-collar, hard working forward with a nose for the basketball. Yeguette, who has enough perimeter in his game to be a mid-range threat in college, smells exactly like "that guy."

Indiana's Tom Crean made the trip to see him in December. Jeff Capel of Oklahoma will be there this week. Ditto for George Washington's Karl Hobbs.

"Right now I would say the school that is pushing really hard is Indiana, Drake, Oklahoma, St. John's, Marquette, Southern Illinois, George Washington, Rhode Island; they're really pushing hard," Florida Air coach Aubin Goporo told

Goporo seems to conjure up quality recruits every year. He coached Sasha Kaun and Richard Kuksiks, to name a few. Yeguette has done everything – and more – asked of him.

"He's driving. He's been rebounding like crazy since day one. We played a tournament in Miami and Tom Crean came and watched him and he was glad he came. He has a scholarship to Indiana and (Indiana) wanted to start talking about visits."

Yeguette visited St. John's in the fall and Sam Houston State. Goporo said the plan would be for Yeguette to take all five visits.
