After a trio of stops in North Carolina, including quick stays at Brougton and Mount Zion, the 6-foot-9, 210-pound post prospect wound up at Bowie (Md.) Princeton Day Academy.
His senior season, thus far, is going well as he's averaging 11 points, 10 rebounds and nearly a half dozen blocks per outing.
"The year has been great," McKnight told Scout.com. "We are 14-2. I'm starting off the season well and I think I'm helping my team win games and do all of the dirty work that no one else wants to do. I'm just playing my hardest."
With strong play comes interest from college programs. A number of schools have been in to see him play. McKnight claims scholarship offers from Wyoming and Virginia Commonwealth, plus interest from a number of schools.
McKnight was scheduled to visit VCU in the near future, but due to the season will likely push it back until sometime in February. He also has some desire to visit California.
"I'm just kind of open right now," he said. "I just want to see some more options and try to get more visits in."
