With his team in a dogfight against Princeton, Knight, a five-star prospect and No. 2 rated prospect in the 2010 class, made a number of key plays down the stretch, including the game winning three-pointer with 3.1 seconds left.
"I didn't shoot the ball well," Knight said. "But I was just trying to put our team in a situation to win. [I was] just trying to get a good look, a good shot that I work on every day and I was able to do that."
For the game Knight finished just 10-for-29 from the field on his way to 36 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
"I didn't think I played that great," Knight said. "I can improve on shot selection and just not settling for jump shots."
"I think every time I shoot it it's going to go in," the highly regarded prospect added. "That's something I am working on and getting better at. At the same time [I'm trying] to get better at every thing else."
Following the contest, Knight spoke to a group of reporters about his recruitment. According to the 6-foot-3 guard he's still looking at six schools – Florida, Miami, Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky and Connecticut.
"Those schools are still in the mix," Knight said. "They're still pretty even."
Knight has taken visits to all six schools except for Miami. Although he didn't share the exact date, he said he will visit the Hurricanes officially over the next few weekends.
"I feel like when I know the school I am going to go to, I am going to know my decision," Knight said.
Knight didn't predicate a decision date, but said he's looking for a good connection with the coaching staff.
"Just being comfortable with the coach, having a good bond," he said when asked what he was looking for in a school. "You never know who you can trust in recruiting so I want a special bond."
"When I feel like I have a good connection with a certain coach that I know that I will be able to come in and make an impact and know that a certain school is the right environment for me is when I will make my decision."
Knight and Pine Crest will be back in action at the Flyin' To The Hoop against Dayton (Ohio) Jefferson on Monday at 1:15.
