Big Ten It Is For Marshall

George Marshall became the second member of Wisconsin's 2011 recruiting class after picking the Badgers over a host of high and mid-major programs.

George Marshall made his college decision late Tuesday evening.

A talented point guard out of Chicago (Ill.) Brook College Prep, Marshall confirmed to Scout.com that he gave Bo Ryan and his staff at Wisconsin a verbal commitment.

"I chose Wisconsin because its a good basketball and academic school," said Marshall. "It has a great environment and I feel coach Ryan is a great coach and I feel I would reach my full potential there."

Marshall, a 5-foot-11, 175-pounder, received varying degrees of interest from a number of schools including Arizona, DePaul, Baylor, Marquette, Illinois State, Ohio and Wake Forest.

Marshall joins Devon Hodges to make up Wisconsin's current 2011 recruiting class.
