Junior Looking To Overcome Surgery
Terry Evans, a member of the St. Louis Eagles, will have more enjoyable seasons. The junior swingman had to have surgery during the year and it's been a different kind of year for him.
"It's been full of injuries," Evans said. "I had to arthro; I had cartilage damage." On Jan. 31 Evans had arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
"I was averaging 19 points before that." Evans is particularly known for his big time athleticism and says it's all coming back. "I showed [the athleticism] today at practice. I was just testing the waters."
Evans hopes to be cleared to play by Friday.
Despite the injury, his recruitment is starting to take shape. "I didn't know it was going to be this much," Evans said. "There's so much mail and so many phone calls that my coach receives."
So far Southern Illinois and Rice have offered him a scholarship. Oklahoma is showing interest and Illinois is knocking some on his door. "I don't know where I could see myself at this point. I want to take some unofficials and officials to really see what the atmosphere is like."
