Dunson Finds Home In Pac-10

Herb Sendek's Arizona State Sun Devils received a commitment from Brandon Dunson, a juco point who has athleticism and a 44-percent stroke behind the arc.

The Arizona State Sun Devils received a commitment from Illinois native and Wabash Valley sophomore point guard Brandon Dunson. The 6-foot-3 Dunson picked the Sun Devils after looking hard at Nevada and Oklahoma State.

"I verbally committed to Arizona State this morning," Dunson told "I haven't visited but my coach and a lot of my dads friends have been and I trust those guys so I made the verbal without the visit."

Dunson, an impressive lefty athlete, is averaging 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists for Wabash this season. As a high school senior, he signed with and attended UT-Chattanooga before leaving and transferring to Wabash. He'll have two years remaining in Tempe.

"Pretty much I'm going to be a creator for others. They said they're really missing someone who is going to penetrate and create for others. Plus, I'll be a lock down defender defensively."

Herb Sendek values perimeter shooting as much as coach in the Pac-10 and Dunson is a 44-percent shooter from behind the arc this season.
