Scout.com caught up with Pine Crest head coach Dave Beckerman to learn more about Knight's time frame.
"It is public that he did eliminate Miami," he said. "He leaves for the McDonald's All-American in 10 days. So he'll meet with all the kids and when he comes back from that it'll be the first week of April and I think we'll be close to a decision."
Any chance Knight, Scout.com's No. 2 ranked prospect in the 2010 class, would decide at the McDonald's All-American festivities?
"I don't think so at least not publicly," Beckerman told Scout.com. "We've committed to ESPN that we'll be doing something on TV."
Although Knight had a fantastic high school career, his final game likely wasn't how he envisioned it.
"He got hurt in the semi-finals," Beckerman said. "He pulled a groin muscle. He got hurt in the semi's after we won. The kid could hardly walk during the championship. He could hardly move and we lost."
"Overall, look the kid scored 3,515 points, which is second in the state," he added. "He missed the record by a couple of hundred of points. He had 700 assists, 1,150 rebounds. I think he had a pretty good career."
Knight, who won two state titles during his high school career, averaged 32 points a game during his senior season.
