Arizona Snags JUCO Prospect

Arizona scores their third verbal commitment. A junior college standout made his decision.

Sean Miller and his staff picked up their third commitment for the 2010 class.

The Wildcats scored a commitment from Saint Louis (Mo.) John Logan Community College standout Jesse Perry. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward gave them the word Sunday night.

"The real reason I decided was because I felt that was the place that could me better," Perry told Scout.com. "Coach Sean and Archie [Miller] and the other guys on the staff I created a relationship with each and every coach and the players that are there. Thats a place I can go play and be a big impact player."

Perry, who averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds a game last year, said he had his list down to UCLA and South Carolina, but he went with Arizona because of his relationships.

"I really got to ask him a lot questions and he's been honest with me since step one and as long as he's been recruiting me," Perry said of Miller. "He's really pushed me and they wanted me bad. They did things the correct way."

Perry joins Jordin Mayes and Daniel Bejarano, both of which won back-to-back state titles, to make up Arizona's current 2010 recruiting class. The Wildcats are also trailing Kadeem Jack, Doron Lamb and Ray McCallum.
