Agudio Makes College Decision

When we first saw Antoine Agudio last spring at the Spiece Run ‘n Slam, we really liked him. A scoring guard who could play multiple positions, Agudio has elected to stay relatively close to home.

Guard Is Headed To The CAA

Walt Whitman high guard Antoine Agudio, one of the highest rated guards still remaining, recently made a commitment.

"I committed to Hofstra," Agudio said. "They guaranteed me an education and a degree and they told me that I could be a good player in their conference." And they didn't lie.

Agudio is averaging over 20 points a game on the season. He'll need to post a better test score but if he doesn't he's already eluded to prep school as being his No. 1 option. This week, he'll play Longwood for the Class A championship.

West Virginia, Providence, Manhattan, Sacred Heart and Towson showed interest in Agudio. He almost signed early with Kent State. In the end, Hofstra was able to get it done.

"They want me to come in and be an offensive player like a shooter," Agudio said. "They were looking for a shooter and that's why they recruited me."
