Missouri Picks Up Pair

Mike Anderson's staff picked up a pair on Sunday. Ricardo Ratliffe and Matt Pressey are the new Missouri recruits.

Missouri picked up two big recruits.

Arguably the nation's top JUCO player Ricardo Ratliffe and Matt Pressey, another JUCO standout, gave verbal commitments to Mike Anderson Sunday afternoon.

Norm Wood, of the Daily Press, confirmed Ratliffe's commitment and spoke to him Monday morning.

"It feels good just to get it all over with," Ratliffe told Wood. "I think I made the right decision by choosing Missouri. Everybody has been calling me happy to know I made the decision. I like the school I picked, and so do my family and friends. It's just like a burden off my back to choose a school I feel like I can get what I want."

Ratliffe, who averaged just over 27 points and nearly a dozen rebounds a game last year for Central Florida Community College, also considered Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Alabama.

According to a source, Pressey, who is the brother of 2010 high school recruit Phil Pressey, also gave his commitment Sunday afternoon.

These commitments cap what appears to be a terrific 2010 recruiting class. Ratliffe, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound big man, and Pressey joins Tony Mitchell, Kadeem Green, Ricky Kreklow and the younger Pressey.
