Brewer Starts Visitation Process

Corey Brewer has his high school team already qualified for the regionals and on Wednesday night he scored 24 points. Here's the latest on his recruitment and he's already taken one official visit.

Gators Visit Went Well

Corey Brewer flew under the radar and made an official visit without many knowing. It seems as though the star small forward took a visit to SEC country, in particular Gatorland.

"It was nice," Brewer said of his official visit to Florida. "They played Alabama and I took the visit then. I liked the players and the campus is nice but I really liked the players. They were nice and I like Coach Donovan. He's a real good coach, especially to do what he's done at Florida."

Florida won't be the only official visit he takes this spring. "I'm supposed to take my official visit to Tennessee sometime [in the spring]. We haven't set a date yet."

Brewer also likes to list Vanderbilt and Mississippi State among a handful of schools worthy of mention at this juncture. In the last week, Florida followed up the official visit by sending assistant coach Anthony Grant out to watch him.

On Wednesday night, Brewer's team won again and the win moves them into the semifinals of the districts and gives his team an automatic berth in the regionals. In the game, Brewer had 24 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists as he flirted with the triple-double.

Brewer said that for sure by the middle of the summer he would be able to reach a decision.
