The Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic coach has had Texas, NC State, West Virginia, Indiana, DePaul, Notre Dame, Maryland and Virginia all swing by the school to see a number of his recruits, including point guard Quinn Cook.
Already the 6-foot, 165-pound floor general holds scholarship offers from Arizona, Maryland, Georgetown, Virginia, Washington, Kansas, Notre Dame, Indiana and Kansas State. He also has North Carolina, Kentucky and UCLA trailing him.
"It's great," Cook said about his recruitment. "I'm just loving the attention. Sometime next week me and my mom, Curtis and coach Jones are going to have a sit down and cut my list down to 15. I don't really have a solid list and it's just everywhere right now."
"I want to start taking unofficials and establishing my relationships with the coaches and just start studying the schools more," Cook added.
North Carolina is expected to swing by his school on Wednesday and then Cook wants to begin taking unofficial visits. He already knows of two schools he would like to see.
"UK is going to be my first visit," Cook said. "I'm not sure of the day yet. They've been recruiting me since they were at Memphis. I talk to coach [Rod] Strickland a lot."
"I'm gong to make a trip out to Arizona soon," he added. "I'm going to go right before the USA trials. Probably sometime in June I'm going to do an unofficial to Arizona."
Cook, a four-star prospect, is ranked No. 31 overall in the class of 2011.
