The weekend provided us with a handful of verbal commitments. This report catches us up with five commitments from the past three days.
There were a handful of 2010 commitments over the weekend. Here's our list to get you caught up:
Among the biggest commits was Jalen Bond, of Plymouth (Pa.) Whitemarsh. The 6-foot-7, 215-pound combo forward gave Jamie Dixon and his staff a verbal commitment on Friday.
Bond had plenty of college attention. Among the schools showing the most interest were Penn State, Villanova, Temple, LaSalle and West Virginia.
On Friday, Jason Carter, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound post prospect, made a verbal commitment as well.
Carter, of Houston (Tex.) Christian Life Center Academy, committed to Anthony Grant and his staff at Alabama.
Carter is Alabama's third commitment for the 2010 class. He joins Charles Hankerson and Releford to make up their three-man class.
Shortly after a visit Dennis Maven, of Gainesville (Fla.) The Rock, came to a college decision.
The 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard committed to Mike Jarvis and Florida Atlantic.
After narrowing his college list to George Washington and Hoftstra, Chris Fitzgerald made his college decision.
The talented 2010 prospect accepted a scholarship to George Washington, according to a source.
Georgia Southern scored a big pick up on Sunday.
Miami (Fla.) Northeast standout Jelani Hewitt gave Charlton Young's program a verbal commitment.
