2011's Brown Has Suitors

If you like hard playing wings then Aaron Brown is your man. The junior out of Pennwood has two programs chasing him extremely hard.

We've made no secret of it on this site. We love guys who play hard and sport the junkyard dog gene.

Meet Aaron Brown, a 6-foot-4 small forward out of Yardley (Penn.) Pennwood.

Brown, a member of the 2011 class, turned in an impressive junior season that ended just short of a championship celebration. "We lost in the state championship game," Brown said. "We played well in the beginning and had a 10 point lead but as the game went on, we were out of sync. We lost to Plymouth Whitemarsh.

"I haven't watched the game. People ask why, but I still can't watch it. It's tough."

Tough is exactly how we'd describe Brown. He's a rugged wing with a competitive streak that runs strong in his personality. With offers from West Virginia, Temple, Rutgers, St. Joe's, LaSalle, Rice, Richmond, Houston and "the list goes on," Brown will have his pick of schools.

Two programs are out in the front right now. "West Virginia and Temple, they're doing a great job and those are like the top two. With West Virginia, it's tough and gritty and they buckle down to play. That's what I'm looking for. I feel like I thrive in those type of systems.

"I actually took a visit to Temple (on Thursday). It's real close to home and I feel at home there. It's about 25 minutes away."

Brown runs with Team Final on the traveling team circuit. He'll attend the NBAPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville in June.
