Michigan Adds Forward

The last time John Beilein took a player out of Hargrave he turned out pretty good. Joe Alexander signed with Beilein at West Virginia. This time around it'll be Colton Christian.

The Michigan Wolverines scored a commitment from forward Colton Christian on Tuesday. The 6-foot-6 native of Medina, Wash., prepped last season for Kevin Keatts at Hargrave Military Academy.

"I think he's a high-energy combo forward who can pull from the outside and brings a certain toughness," Keatts told Scout.com. "He rebounds it well and he's kind of a warrior."

Christian signed last fall with Tulane but re-opened his recruiting after the coaching change in New Orleans. He visited the Wolverines, Penn State and California.

"I think he liked the style of play. Coach Beilein's use of his forwards is something he liked. He thinks he can help play a major role in helping the team win because they use their forwards in a variety of ways."
