Marcus Thornton is ready to announce his college choice. Where's he headed? Scout.com has the scoop.
's recruitment will come to an end today. The 6-foot-7 power forward out of Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake will announced his college choice at a noon press conference.
According to multiple sources, Thornton will announce for Georgia.
"He's going to Georgia," one source told Scout.com. "It's done."
Thornton had originally signed a Letter of Intent with Clemson, but with the departure of Oliver Purnell to DePaul, he got out of his LOI and began the recruiting process again.
Thornton, a three-star prospect, who averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds a game as a senior, also strongly considered Georgia Tech, Alabama and Texas.
Thornton will be the fourth member of the 2010 class to commit to Georgia. He will join high school standouts Donte Williams and Cady Lalane, as well as JUCO prospect Sherrard Brantley.
