Junior PG Vince Oliver
Vince Oliver, 6-2 JR PG Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, told us recently that he's receiving mail from Notre Dame, Colorado St., Loyola Marymount and New Mexico, among others. Oliver took an unofficial trip to Loyola last summer. "It's a nice campus," said Oliver. "I've been there before for games, but they showed me around and it gave me an idea of what to look for. It was nice." Oliver told us that distance won't play a role in his decision. However, he said he would look at playing time. "Not so much in my freshman year, when I might not play much, but I would want to be playing as a sophomore," said Oliver. We asked about the timing of his decision and Oliver replied, "Probably by the end of the summer -- I should have a good idea by then." When we asked if he had any preference about playing at a big school, or one in a smaller conference, Oliver said, "I'd probably like to go to a big-time school -- I'd be willing to sacrifice to go to a bigger school. I'm open to going anywhere, but I'd like to play in a big program if possible."
