Hoosiers Land Top 100 Talent
"It's a done deal," Ewing's high school coach Trevor Brown said. "It was wonderful, Patrick really liked it," were the words of his mother Sharon Campbell.
From talking with Ewing and everyone around him, it sounds like he went to Bloomington and fell in love with the place. "He really liked the school and Coach Davis and his family," Campbell said. "It was wonderful."
Ewing, a combo forward, knows what will be expected of him next year. "I just have to play hard, score, rebound and play defense."
Ewing, the son of the former Knick great with the same name, is different than his father. Senior was a big time pivot man with a feathery baseline touch. Junior isn't nearly as tall and is at his best when he's moving inside to outside.
At this point in the recruiting year, landing a Top 100 player is a big deal and on Thursday night Indiana got itself a nice player.
