Goodman Seals It

At first it was Georgetown but the tea leaves now read Rutgers. 2012 power forward Jordan Goodman is on board with Mike Rice.

Mike Rice and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are on the board for 2012. Jordan Goodman, a 6-foot-8 power forward out of Progressive Christian is headed to the Big East school.

"We're going with Rutgers, we're definitely going there," Deon Goodman told "Sitting down and talking with Coach Cox and working with him periodically, he's been working well with my son. Cox has been like a big brother to Jordan. We met Coach Rice and he's got a way with the kids. He's got a little swagger."

Goodman, now a member of the Class of 2012, once committed to Georgetown. At the time, Cox was an assistant for the Hoyas and the commitment dissolved once Cox departed for Rutgers. Cox is a former coach with D.C. Assault, the traveling team Goodman plays with.

Deon Goodman said last week's unofficial visit sealed the deal. "On the visit they showed us around and it was really nice. People were receptive to myself and Jordan. It was last week, it was unofficial and we took a look around to see what's good."
