Dekker Gives Verbal

Bo Ryan and his crew picked up yet another commitment. This time they snagged a local standout.

Wisconsin has been on a role this past week. First it was Frank Kaminsky then Traevon Jackson gave a verbal commitment to the Badgers. Now they've added a 2012 prospect to the fold.

Sam Dekker, of Sheybogan (Wisc.) Lutheran, committed to Bo Ryan and his staff on Tuesday afternoon.

"Growing up I always loved Wisconsin and followed them," Dekker told When they showed me their offense and showed me how I'd fit in I thought it'd be a great fit."

"All the guys made me feel comfortable," he added. "Also coach Ryan is one of the best coaches you'll find and I really like him and I knew it'd be my school when he offered me."

Dekker said he also strongly considered Northern Iowa. He averaged 27 points and nine rebounds during his sophomore season.
