Guyn Makes College Choice

Ge-Lawn Guyn has made his college decision. He plans to play in the Big East.

Ge-Lawn Guyn is headed to the Big East.

Shortly after an offer from Cincinnati and a trip to their campus, Guyn, a 6-foot-2 guard out of Georgetown (Ky.) Scott County, gave Mick Cronin a verbal commitment.

"I really liked the campus and everything they had to offer," Guyn told Scout.com. "I liked the players. They were real cool. I met the head coach and he's great.

Guyn, who was once committed to Charlotte, entertained interest from a number of schools, including New Mexico, Dayton, Rutgers and others.

According to his uncle -- Thomas Muhammad -- Guyn will attend prep school this coming year and will reclassify to the 2011 class.

He plans to continue to play with Indiana Elite this summer.
