Uthoff Makes Decision

Iowa native Jarrod Uthoff is off the board. He'll take his game to a Big Ten program.

Jarrod Uthoff knew where he wanted to go to college, so Monday evening he ended his recruitment.

A 6-foot-8, 200-pound big man out of Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Thomas Jefferson, committed to Wisconsin., making him their fourth verbal commitment for the 2011 class.

"I think the style of play fits me well," Uthoff told Scout.com. "I like everything about Wisconsin."

Uthoff had his list of schools narrowed to Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois, Butler, Virginia and Northwestern.

"It was really tough," he said of his decision. "It was the hardest the decision I've ever made. I just liked everything about [Wisconsin]. I liked the coaches, the players, everything about it."

Uthoff, who plays with the Iowa Barnstormers, rates as a three-star prospect on Scout.com. He is the Badgers fourth commitment. He joins Traevon Jackson, Frank Kaminsky and George Marshall to make up their class.

As a junior, Uthoff averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds.
