Oscar Edwards, 6-4 SR PF Los Angeles (Calif.) Price, is a bit undersized, but he's got some explosiveness and he plays hard. We talked with Edwards after his game Friday night, when Price won the Division V championship at Loyola Marymount.

Edwards told us that he's hearing primarily from the University of La Verne, USF and UC Davis. He also mentioned Western Wasington as a school that called him recently.

We asked about the factors that are important to him in choosing a school. "I want to major in communications, so how they are in that department is most important to me," said Edwards. "I don't mind going away at all -- I like to travel. I also want to play for a coach who is willing to develop me and let me play all over the court."

Edwards said playing time isn't an issue for him. "I don't mind waiting," said Edwards. "I didn't get to play right away at Price, so I've had to wait to play before."

Edwards is a solid student and told us that he has a 3.5 GPA and scored 900 on the SAT.
