Days Going To Knight School

At this rate, Donnie Jones will have his recruiting done by the time you read this. UCF scored its second recruit in as many days, when Rod Days committed Monday evening.

Central Florida isn't messing around. On the last day of the period, Donnie Jones and the Knights were posted up in Orlando watching a prime time target. Two days later, mission accomplished.

Rod Days, a sharp shooting small forward out of Weston (Fla.) Sagemont School, committed to UCF.

"I woke up this morning and it felt like that was the place I wanted to go," Days said. "They've been at all my games this entire month. They were at every game in July."

Days averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds last season playing in the frontcourt with Fab Melo. Richmond, Alabama, Maryland and Arizona State evaluated him in the recent period and the Spiders were his second choice.

Going into the process, Days wasn't concerned about the mileage between Richmond and his home but his priorities changed. "It was the distance. Coming into it, I didn't think distance was going to be a part. Now, at the end, it's part of the decision and I realized I didn't want to go too far. UCF was perfect."

Yesterday, the Knights added forward Kasey Wilson.
