Tuesday night the 6-foot-4, 180-pound wing prospect gave Brian Gregory and the Dayton Flyers a verbal commitment.
"It was a very hard decision to go to Dayton." Henton said. "But they've been there for me since day one and they've been coming to my private workouts and they showed that they were committed to me and I wanted to be a Dayton Flyer."
Henton, a standout at Lansing (Mich.) Eastern, also considered Penn State, South Florida, Utah, Cleveland State and Providence. He cited their coaching staff as one of the main reason he opted for Dayton.
"They played a huge role in this decision," he said. "The coaching staff is all there for the players. They try to get their players better people and make them better basketball players."
Henton is the second verbal commitment for Dayton this week. Percy Gibson committed earlier this week.
