McCune Pops For Big East

According to a source, following an unofficial visit, Tommie McCune made West Virginia his choice.

The West Virginia Mountaineers secured a commitment from Saginaw (Mich.) High standout power forward Tommie McCune. The Mountaineers, according to a source, received the commitment shortly following an unofficial visit from McCune to campus.

McCune averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds and four assists as a junior. He was named to the Saginaw Area Dream Team and garnered offers from Xavier and Providence during his junior season.

As a freshman, according to the paper, he played behind Michigan State starter Draymond Green and will topple the 1,000-point mark this season.
