Wiltjer hasn't set up any official visits and admitted his list of seven that spans five conferences and three time zones is unique. "I picked every one for a different reason," Wiltjer said. "I sat down with my parents and my trainer. We had this huge post it note. Each school had different pros and cons and it happened to be such a wide variety; it's a crazy list."
You may notice that there are a host of schools Wiltjer has in common with his Oakland Soldiers buddies. Don't read too much into it, Wiltjer said for the most part, the guys are flying solo when it comes to recruiting.
"We've always talked about that we've all come to the conclusion that we're different players. If I happened it would be a blast because we had such a great summer. We love playing together but we're looking for ourselves in this one."
The plan is to take five official visits. The well-traveled Wiltjer will enter the visitation process with an open mind. He knows California will receive an official visit but hasn't set up any to date.
"It could end whenever but I'm going into this thinking I'm going to be patient. I want to get it down to five so they have an equal opportunity. Really, I'm letting it come as it happens. If there's a good fit I can go there but I'm going into it thinking I can take all five."
