Junior Update: Lee Cummard
Lee Cummard, 6-6 JR SF Mesa (Ariz.) High, told us recently that he has a number of schools sending him mail at this point. "Colgate, Boise St., San Jose St., New Mexico, Arizona St., Colorado St., Rice, San Diego, Oklahoma St., Wyoming, Princeton, Utah, Texas Tech...those are some of the schools," said Cummard. "Rice has been to one of my games and they've invited me to take a trip. I've been emailing with them." We asked about the issue of location and Cummard said, "It'd be nice to stay close, but it's not that big a deal. My Mom would like me to stay close, and it'd be awesome of play in front of a home crowd, but it won't be a big factor in my choice." "Education, and the coaching staff -- those are the two main issues," said Cummard. "Playing time is not a big issue." Cummard told us that he has a 3.7 GPA and he'll take the ACT on April 12th.
