"I want to start my officials and start doing stuff like that," Brown told Scout.com. "I want to knock it out during the early signing period after I take all five of my visits."
At this point Washington is the only school that has set up a visit. In fact they have an in-home visit set for September 9th and then his official is planned for the weekend of September 18th.
"I've been talking to Georgia Tech, DePaul and Oregon trying to work out dates with these schools," the five-star prospect told Scout.com.
"I have Cal close to home so I can take an unofficial there," he added. "Then probably one of the schools I'll either have to take another unofficial or I just won't visit."
Brown, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound shooting guard out of Oakland (Calif.) High, said all the schools are even at this point and he's hoping the visits help him sort things out.
"All of the schools on my list I'm feeling, which is why they made the cut," he said. "Now I've heard good things from all of them. I want to get a good feel for the school and see if I could see myself going there."
During the visits, Brown is planning to get a feel for the programs from their current players.
"I'll talk to the players and see how they like it and how they feel about the coaches and how they interact with the coaching staff. I have to figure out if I can spend up to four years there."
Brown is currently rated as the No. 5 shooting guard in the 2011 class.
