With the lack of big men in the class, Williams certainly has plenty of options. Among the schools that have offered are Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Duke, UCLA, USC, Texas, Pittsburgh and Oklahoma.
"I have a long list of schools," the Detroit (Mich.) Country Day standout told Scout.com. "It's going good right now. I'm probably going to narrow my school list down some time this month before I go back to school."
Williams, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound power forward, said the next step in the process is to get his list cut down and then begin setting up official visits. He's hoping to knock some visits out in September.
"Not right now," he said when asked if he had set up any visits. "I still have a long list. I don't know who I want to visit yet."
"I've talked to some schools about a visit, but we haven't set a date," Williams said. "They just asked me when I was available and if I were able to go visit that it would probably be in September."
Williams is even thinking he may wait until the spring to make to announce his college destination.
"It could possibly go into the spring," he said. "I'm pretty sure it's going to go into the spring. It's a very long process that I'm getting ready to go through. I'm pretty sure it's going to go into the spring."
Williams is currently rated as the No. 2 center in the 2011 class.
