Offers Roll In For Ogbueze

Braxton Ogbueze, one of the best lead guards in the 2012 class, has plenty of college interest and has picked up a number of scholarship offers.

Many have touted the 2012 class as the next great class. It has a ridiculous amount of quality big men and wings. The only worry is about the point guards.

With that said, there are a handful of really good lead guards at the top of the list. Among the best floor generals in the class is Braxton Ogbueze, a 6-foot, 180-pounder out of Charlotte (N.C.) United Faith Christian.

"I can score," Ogbueze said when asked to describe his game. "I get my teammates involved and I think I can set up my teammates pretty well." … "I see myself playing the point guard at the next level. I'm a leader."

Following a solid summer playing with the CP3 All-Stars, Ogbueze has seen his college interest rise.

"The recruiting process has been going good," he told "We are just taking it one day at a time."

Ogbueze currently has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Texas, Wake Forest, Clemson, Charlotte, South Carolina, Virginia, VCU, Marquette and Indiana. He's also heard from Kansas, Alabama, Miami, North Carolina and Florida.

"I'm just taking it one day at a time and do my research and hopefully I'll pick the best school." … "I'm looking a little more at it, but I don't think I'm going to make a decision soon."

Ogbueze hasn't taken any recent unofficial visits, but that is about to change, as he has a pair of visits set up for next month.

"I want to do some visits in the future," he said. "Hopefully as early as next month, but we are just planning it out. I know we set up a visit to Tennessee and Virginia."
