Hikeem Stewart, a talented prospect from Seattle, has some high major west coast interest...

Hikeem Stewart, 6-2 SR SG Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach, is one of the top prospects in the west for 2011 and he has a number of schools expressing interest in him.

"I'm hearing from Washington, Oregon State, Colorado, Arizona State, UCLA, UNLV and Oregon," said Stewart.

I asked Stewart if he has a feel for which schools are recruiting him the hardest.

"Washington, Colorado and Oregon State have been showing a lot of interest," said Stewart.

Stewart has taken unofficial visits to local school Washington and said he may be taking another unofficial visit soon.

"I'm probably going to take an unofficial to Oregon State, but we don't have a date yet," said Stewart.

I asked Stewart if he any schools in mind for official visits.

"I'm probably going to take official visits to Washington, Colorado and Oregon State," said Stewart.

Stewart talked a little about the factors he'll consider when picking a school.

"The style of play, someplace where I would fit in well and the chance to play early," said Stewart.

Stewart said it will be awhile before he picks a school.

"I'll probably decide sometime around the early signing period," said Stewart.

Stewart said he has a 3.6 GPA.
