2013 Wilson Picks Baylor

Kyle Wilson made his college choice on Monday. He's Baylor's first 2013 commitment.

After some deliberating over the past few days, Kyle Wilson, a 2013 prospect at Fort Worth (Tex.) Dunbar, made his pick.

Wilson, who runs with the LBA Seawolves, the same team that Perry Jones played for, committed to Baylor Monday afternoon, after taking an unofficial visit to Waco (Tex.) this past weekend.

"He's been watching them for a while," his AAU coach Lawrence Johns said. "He kept saying that this is where he wants to go. He kept saying 'coach I want to go to Baylor.' He said he wants to do what Perry Jones was doing is."

According to Johns, the entire Big 12 was dabbling with him, but he singled out Wichita State, Oklahoma and Texas as some of the schools that were involved.

While he looks up to Jones off the court, according to Johns, Wilson is starting to remind him of the former top five prospect on it.

"He's pretty impressive," Johns said. "He's very advanced for his age and more advanced than Perry at the same age. He's stronger and bigger."

Wilson is Scott Drew's first verbal commitment in the 2013 class.
