ORLANDO, Fla. -- In a game where Siena (2-7) led for 39 of 40 minutes, Purdue (6-2) did just enough to lead when it mattered, escaping with a 68-63 victory in the seventh-place game of the 2013 Old Spice Classic.
The Boilermakers were paced by 16 points, nine rebounds and six blocks from center A.J. Hammons while the Johnson brothers, Ronnie and Terone, and Jay Simpson were also in double figures scoring.
The Saints, who fell just short in their upset big, got 17 points apiece from Rob Poole and Evan Hymes.
