Williams Chooses New Mexico

6-8 210 Tim Williams took Samford University by storm earning conference Freshmen of the year honors...  Williams followed that up with a solid sophomore season averaging 17.6 PPG and 7.3 rebounds. At that point Williams felt he had to somewhere to get more exposure and to play against top notch players, with that Williams decided to leave Samford and settled in on three universities. Dayton, New Mexico, and Iowa...

After a whirlwind week of visiting all 3 schools Williams told TheRedMenace.com that he was able to sit down with his mom and make the decision where he would finish his collegiate career. Lobo fans were thrilled to hear the news that Williams had decided on the University of New Mexico and Coach Craig Neal.

Williams will have to sit out this season per NCAA transfer rules but will be a junior come 2015-16... The Red Menace was able to speak with Tim and here is what he had to say..
