Indiana coach Tom Crean has repeatedly said over the past several months that he and his staff are not done recruiting in the 2014 class, and that continues to be true.
Zeisloft graduated from Illinois State with a degree in finance, so he would be eligible to play immediately. He also has two years of eligibility remaining.
Zeisloft, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard, averaged 6.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game for the Redbirds last season. He shot 38 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc and 90 percent from the foul line in 25.7 minutes per game. Zeisloft was also the team captain, and according to multiple sources, Indiana is interested in what he can bring as a positive locker room leader.
Indiana has been in pursuit of Zeisloft for awhile, but the mutual interest has remained fairly quiet while Zeisloft attempts to get accepted into the Kelley School of Business graduate school.
"They're just waiting on the grad school part of it," a source said.
Zeisloft had mixed results against the best competition in the Missouri Valley Conference last season. He had nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc in a January loss to then-No. 6 Wichita State, but then was held scoreless on 0-of-6 shooting against the Shockers later in the same month.
Zeisloft has also already taken a visit to DePaul. Indiana has an extra scholarship spot open because of the departure of Peter Jurkin, who also had two years of eligibility remaining. We will have more on this story as it develops.
