CHARLOTTE – There's plenty to talk about in reference to the 2014-15 Texas A&M basketball team, but the reality is the future is brighter than the present.
Tuesday's huge commitment from big man Elijah Thomas was just the latest in a line of in-state dominoes to fall the way of the Aggies.
While at SEC Tipoff Wednesday at the Ballantyne Hotel, head coach Billy Kennedy discussed, generically, how A&M has enjoyed success on the recruiting trail.
"Our players have done a tremendous job of recruiting these kids. All of them are from Texas," noted Kennedy. "(Freshman) Alex Robinson gave us an identity in Dallas that we lacked since right before I got here. So they're seeing some of their better players come to Texas A&M. Alex Caruso was one of the top players (in Texas), and he's had success in the SEC."
Watch the video below for Kennedy's take on the other factors that have elevated Texas A&M recruiting of late.
