Lee has '70 to 75' schools after him

Drexel graduate transfer Damion Lee is one of the most heavily pursued players on the transfer wire.

Drexel transfer Damion Lee, who averaged 21.4 points a game last season, may be the most heavily pursued recruit on the transfer list or in high school.

“Basically everyone from far and wide [has called],” Lee said. “If you named a conference, they’ve called. It’s just so much to process.”

Although Lee declined to give a list of interested parties, we know it’s lengthy, as he said “70 to 75” schools have reached out and he currently is filing through 160 unread text messages.

“Right now I’m just taking the calls and I’m open to everything,” he said. “It’s going to settle down with final four weekend. I’m really just hoping that I can narrow down a list pretty soon that I would want to go and I feel like I could go in and contribute.”

“I’m definitely going to set up a couple of visits within the next couple of weeks of the schools I feel I want to go to and who is best fit for me.”

After averaging 17.1 points a game as a freshman, Lee hurt his knee at and missed the majority of his sophomore season. Lee will graduate in the spring and will be eligible right away.
