Ray Harper resigns from Western Kentucky

Ray Harper and Western Kentucky parted ways on Thursday, per a release from the school

Ray Harper is no longer the head coach at Western Kentucky, the school announced in a release on Thursday.

Harper, 54, just completed his fifth season at Western Kentucky. During his tenure the Hilltoppers are 90-61 and made the NCAA Tournament in each of his first two seasons.

Prior to be the head coach at WKU, Harper was an assistant at the school for three seasons. He was previously the head coach at Oklahoma City University, a NAIA school, and Division-II power Kentucky Wesleyan.

The school also announced three players -- Frederick Edmond, Marlon Hunter and Chris McNeal have been suspended from the program.
