Bears Bury Buffs, 31-25

The Baylor Bears came away with a big victory on Saturday defeating the Colorado Buffaloes, 31-25.

The Baylor Bears (5-2, 2-1) racked up 543 yards of total offense in Saturday's victory over the Colorado Buffaloes (3-3, 0-2). Baylor running back Jay Finley rushed for a career-high 143 yards to boost the Bears to a 31-25 over the Buffs.

Along with Finley, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III got it done on the ground gaining 137 yards on 15 carries. The talented sophomore quarterback also completed 22-of-27 passes with one touchdown and one interception. On his lone touchdown pass of the day, Griffin found tight end Jerod Monk on a seam route for a 9-yard scoring play in the 2nd quarter.

True freshman wide receiver Tevin Reese led all receivers with 9 catches for 88 yards. Junior Kendall Wright recorded 7 receptions for 86 yards.

Colorado dominated the time of possession in the game mostly utilizing the talents of running back Rodney Stewart who rushed for 125 yards on 30 carries. Buffalo quarterback Tyler Hansen completed 21-of-28 passes for one touchdown and one interception.

The Bears return to Waco next Saturday for a Homecoming matchup against the Kansas State Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
