Bears Fall to Gonzaga in Dallas

The #9 Baylor Bears (7-1) dropped their first game of the season to Gonzaga (6-5) in a 68-64 loss in Dallas.

The Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a LaceDarius Dunn shot to open up the game. However, there would only be one more 3 pointer the entire game for Dunn and the Bears.

Baylor got into foul trouble early on in the first half. The Bears were called on multiple offensive charges and were unable to drive to the lane for much of the first half. The Bears' defense kept them in play, however, and the Bears went into halftime only trailing by 2.

Baylor was able to stay out of foul trouble for much of the second half, but were unable to make their shots. Any time Baylor was able to take the lead, Gonzaga was able to answer quickly and regain control. The Bears took a 1 point lead late in the second half after scoring 4 points on a basket and a defensive foul, but Gonzaga answered with a 3 to quiet the Baylor crowd.

LaceDarius Dunn was unable to put together the night Baylor fans have grown accustomed to, going 4/14 (including just 2/5 from beyond the arc). Perry Jones led all Baylor scorers with 19 points, going 8/15 from the field.

Baylor has a couple of days off until they face off with San Diego Wednesday at 4:00 on ESPN.
