After being committed to West Virginia for months, Cy Creek running back Jermichael Selders decided that the Baylor Bears were a better fit for him. On Wednesday, Selders signed his letter of intent with Baylor.
"Baylor came back into the picture about two weeks ago," Selders said. "I passed on them early, and they still were with me the whole way. They came back to me."
Selders talks about his choice to no longer to head to West Virginia.
"West Virginia is a really good program. But Baylor is really good, too. The new coaches [at West Virginia] came in, and I wasn't really feeling it," Selders said.
Selders is recovering from a knee injury that kept him sidelined for most of his senior year, but expects to be ready for non-contact drills in the Spring. As for his late decision to attend Baylor?
"I am very excited about it," Selders said.
