The Baylor Bears will receive immediate help this Fall when the newest Baylor football commitment steps onto campus. Joe Williams a 5'10" 190 pound junior college transfer from Fort Scott Community College (Kansas) decided on Baylor University as his school of choice. Williams will enroll in the summer and be available to play this Fall when the Baylor Bears take the field.
"I had a good time on my visit, and I decided to just follow my heart," said Williams on why he committed to Baylor.
Williams will have 3 years to play 3 at Baylor, and Williams acknowledged that the fact that he could be a difference maker on the defense played a big role in his decision.
Williams, who holds offers from Indiana and Ole Miss, said he felt most comfortable at Baylor. A former high school quarterback in St. Louis, Williams explained he was a non-qualifier coming out of high school, went to Fort Scott, switched to the defensive side of the ball, and the rest is history.
"I'm pretty good, and I am getting better everyday," says Williams. "I am going to go down there [to Baylor] and get better," Williams says.
