In recent months, Baylor's search for running backs has taken a "large" approach. With running back Terrance Ganaway entering his final season in Waco, Baylor needed to find another back that brings his kind of muscle to the depth chart. It appears that search is over.
Burkburnett athlete Devin Chafin is the newest addition to Baylor's 2012 class. Chafin, who plays both linebacker and running back for Burkburnett, informs BearsIllustrated.com that the Bears offered him a scholarship as a running back.
"I'm honored to have the opportunity to both get an education and play football at Baylor, and I believe that I can help contribute to the Baylor football program quite a bit."
The 6'0", 210 pound standout also finished sixth at this year's Texas 3A track state championship in the 100 meters.
Chafin marks the twelfth commitment of Baylor's 2012 class. He was also receiving interest from North Texas and Colorado State.
