No Lack of Focus

#4 Baylor (17-0, 4-0) said they weren't looking ahead and played like it. The Bears won a 106-65 blowout over Oklahoma State (9-8, 2-2). Up next: a top-ten showdown with the Kansas Jayhawks.

It may sound cliché, but Saturday's matchup with Oklahoma State was viewed as a classic trap-game for the fourth-ranked Baylor Bears - or at least it was viewed that way from the outside looking in. Looming ahead for Baylor was a potential top-ten matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks. On a Saturday in college basketball where upsets were aplenty, it would not have shocked many to see Baylor fall victim to a lack of focus and lose a game they should have won.

Baylor was having none of that. The Bears routed the Cowboys 106-65. The 41-point margin of victory was Baylor's largest in conference play since 2002.

When asked if the win was meant to be a statement, Baylor's Perry Jones III dismissed the notion.

"No, not at all. Just taking it one game at a time," Jones said. "Not looking ahead until it's time. Now it's time to get ready for Kansas. And that's what we need to focus on now."

Led by Quincy Miller's 21 points, Baylor scored a season high 106 against the Cowboys. Perry Jones III tallied a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Pierre Jackson had 18 points and 8 assists off the bench as the Bears ran their record to a program-best 17-0.

Keiton Page and Markel Brown led Oklahoma State scorers with 15 points each. Former Baylor recruit LeBryan Nash was held to 6 points and 3 rebounds. The Cowboys shot just 5 of 19 from beyond the arc.

Monday night's game against the Kansas Jayhawks will tip at 8:30 p.m. CST and will be aired nationally as part of ESPN's Big Monday.
