Briles Adds Another

Baylor Head Coach Art Briles has had an active January this recruiting season. Things didn't slow down this week as Baylor has picked up another commitment.

Patrick Levels, a 5'10", 175lb cornerback out of Roosevelt High School in Dallas, has committed to the Baylor Bears, learned early Thursday. Levels visited the campus earlier this month, and clearly liked what he saw.

"I felt that I had a great time in Waco. The coaches and players gave me a warm welcome. It just seems to be the place for me," Levels told

Levels was named Texas 3A Defensive Player of the Year by the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors. He put together a monster senior season, accounting for 177 tackes, 118 of which were solo, 8 interceptions, 4 of which were returned for touchdowns, 3 more touchdowns on punt returns, and 6 tackles for loss.

Levels chose Baylor over offers from Texas Tech, Wake Forest, the University of Connecticut, and UTEP.

Levels marks the 5th commitment to the Bears in January, including the 4th on the defensive side of the ball.
