The #9 Baylor Bears (22-4, 9-4) defended their home court Monday night in large part due to senior forward Quincy Acy. The Bears defeated the Iowa State Cyclones (18-8, 8-5), and with the victory Baylor stands alone in 3rd place in the Big 12 standings behind Kansas and Missouri.
On the night, Baylor sophomore Perry Jones III led all scorers with 18 points, but it was the energetic play of Acy on both sides of the floor that helped the Bears down the stretch. Acy finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the contest.
True freshman Quincy Miller dropped 16 on the night adding 6 assists, while Bears' point guard Pierre Jackson added 8 points and 9 assists on the evening.
The Bears next take on the Kansas State Wildcats, a game the Bears will host in the Ferrell Center.
